Dr. Boussert is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management specialist. She completed her Anesthesiology residency at The University of Chicago and Pain Management fellowship at Stanford University.
She chose Stanford for its unique approach to patient care, which she continues to utilize in her practice. “Pain is complex, and it affects the lives of not only those suffering from it but also their family members, friends, employers, and colleagues. While there are many treatment options available for the treatment of acute and chronic pain, I believe the best way to begin to understand it (and therefore most effectively treat it) is through careful listening and compassion. In my practice as a pain management doctor, my goals are to treat pain quickly, to support and encourage a multidisciplinary team of doctors to best treat my patients’ pain, to build and maintain trusting relationships with my patients, to decrease suffering, and to improve function and quality of life using the latest research and comprehensive therapies available.”
Dr. Boussert is a native of Louisiana and returned in 2014 to live closer to family and practice medicine in her home state. She has a particular interest in cervical and lumbar spine interventions, spinal cord stimulation, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS/RSD), joint injections with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy, and migraine management.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, three daughters, and one son.
